Game Roles: Natasha, the Market Maker

Natasha: “If others are in a hurry, here I am to solve their problems … for a small fee!”

Natasha loves the collection, but most of all she has fun taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the decentralized user market. She, conscientiously, has studied the probabilities of obtaining each type of card, and she has verified that the market has not yet discovered the right price of each common, rare or epic creature. So she has decided to provide a service to the other players: she will provide liquidity (from cards and Ignis), in exchange for making a profit.

Natasha has determined the reasonable price of each type of card, so that any card offered in the market at a lower price, she will buy it, and she will cover any bid for a higher price. The difference is left to her as a profit, which is often quite juicy, as you can see in these two consecutive trades that she completed:

She first acquired a Lisovik and an Ifrit, both rare cards, that someone was offering for only 50 ignis, a price that Natasha found very cheap. She didn’t need those cards, but that’s what her Market Maker job consists of: buy low to sell more expensive. She immediately placed an order to sell those cards, for 150 ignis each. And she didn’t have to wait more than a day for another user, who surely needed those cards to complete the collection or to craft an epic card, to accept her offer. 200 ignis profit in two trades, congratulations Natasha!

In addition to observing the buy and sell orders of all the cards, Natasha has filled the market with asks at higher prices than the market and bids at lower prices. The orders are left there, waiting for a player to decide to buy or sell urgently and accept the prices. Natasha is patient, she is a Market Maker!
